Children's Christmas Party / December 6, 10 to 2
11/14/08 Invite your friends and family to celebrate the merriment of the season at Paramount! We're sure to have a fun-filled day with Santa being the star attraction! We're still in the planning stages, so if you have any game or craft ideas, we would love to hear them! Also, be sure to bring your own camera as we will not have a photographer on-site for this event. We will update this post as the planning evolves. We're always looking for volunteers so if you would like to help, please email Angie at adilmore@brightoncorp.com or call 250.2774 cell. Thank you.
Mitten Tree (Giving Tree) Coat Drive, December 6 to December 15
11/14/08 Beginning on Saturday, December 6 (Children's Christmas Party) and concluding on Monday, December 15, so we have time to make deliveries before Christmas. You're invited to help us decorate the community center Christmas tree and donate to a great cause at the same time! The Hospitality Committee has coordinated a coat drive that includes hats, scarves and mittens. The smaller items will be used as "ornaments" to decorate the Christmas tree, with ornament hooks available. Coats (unwrapped) can simply be placed under the tree. All proceeds will go to the Women's and Children's Alliance and the Assistance League in Boise. We will have construction paper mitten tags available to personalize and place on a nearby wall display, to let everyone know who has contributed to this generous cause. If you would like to help coordinate this activity, please email Angie @ adimore@brightoncorp.com or call 250.2774 cell. Thank you!
Playgroup, Anyone?
11/14/08 Shannon McNall would like to coordinate a bimonthly play date for moms and kids at the community center. It will be a great outlet to take a break, meet new neighbors and let the kids run off some of their energy now that the colder months are upon us. If anyone is interested, Shannon has a few trial dates in mind. Please email her at shannon_thometz@yahoo.com if this sounds like something you might be interested in.

Brighton Corporation - Property Management Staff Reductions
10/22/08 Dear Paramount Homeowners: As many of you know, Brighton Corporation recently eliminated the property management staff positions of Anita Munson and Casey Brown. We deeply regret their departures and are simply responding to shifts in the current economic climate, market conditions and the overstaffing of our property management department. We thank Anita for her enthusiasm, diligence, and kindheartedness. She has been instrumental in organizing committees and developing processes to help manage your beautiful neighborhood. We also thank Casey for her creativity, high energy, and spirit in her coordination of the popular Paramount events and activities that you enjoy today. Many of you know Anita and Casey personally and, like us, will miss them sorely. Please join us in wishing them the very best. As you know, we strongly believe the essential fabric of Paramount is the community spirit that comes from neighbors meeting neighbors and being actively involved in community events and activities. Brighton feels so strongly about this that we staffed a community events coordinator position through our property management division for some time in order to get things up and running. This expense has been solely born by Brighton Corporation and is not part of the Owners Association budget. Ultimately, however, the community activities must be ?owned? by the residents in order that they continue in perpetuity. We appreciate all those who volunteer to serve on committees and otherwise actively participate to make Paramount a special neighborhood. David Turnbull, Developer
Irrigation System Shut-off
The irrigation water was shut off October 9th. Homeowners should have their systems winterized being certain to shut off the valve to the mainline after blowout. Do not over tighten the valve to the main which may cause damage and allow water to leak into your system from the main. IMPORTANT: There may be times when water will be sent through the main lines. This does not mean the irrigation water is on. If you fail to have the main valve to your system shut off after winterizing, water flowing through the main may enter your system. Please contact your Paramount Homeowners Association with questions.
Parking and Storage
Vehicles used for everyday transportation should be parked in the garage or driveway. For safety and visibility of drivers, avoid parking in the street. Visitors should avoid parking in the street if possible. Please remember that the primary purpose of the garage is for parking and storage of automobiles. Boats, campers, travel trailers, motor homes, snowbobiles, motorcycles, watercraft, tent trailers, and other recreational vehicles should be parked out of sight behind your fence or in offsite storage. It is permissible to park your RV in your driveway for up to 72 hours for cleaning, loading and unloading.
Street Speed Limit
The speed limit is 20 mph unless otherwise posted. Please take special care to observe the speed limit as we do have several "small people" in the community that do not always watch for cars. Thank you.
Pet Etiquette
Please remember that pets are to be on a leash and under control at all times when outside the confines of a fenced yard. Cats should not be allowed to roam free at any time. Please clean up after your pet when walking on common areas and sidewalks. You love your pets but your neighbors may not. Thank you for your consideration.
